The Karl Lagerfeld brand was founded by the iconic fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, who was born in 1933 (although his biography states 1938) in Germany and became one of the most influential creators of modern fashion. He began his career in the 1950s, working for brands such as Balmain and Fendi, but became most famous as creative director of Chanel, which he joined in 1983. He managed to bring the almost forgotten Chanel brand back to the limelight with his designs. In 1984, he founded his own label, which bore his name. Lagerfeld’s personal style – a combination of classic elegance and innovative design – was reflected in a range of products, from clothing to accessories to perfume.

His collaborations with well-known artists also played a significant role, and he was himself a very talented draughtsman.

The Karl Lagerfeld brand specialises in luxury fashion and accessories, including clothing, shoes, handbags, watches and jewellery. Its products often combine classic shapes with modern elements and reflect Lagerfeld’s passion for contrasts and innovation. The brand also emphasizes sustainability and advanced technology in fashion, striving to remain relevant to modern consumers. Under the leadership of Lagerfeld himself and later his team, the brand has evolved into one of the most important and innovative names in the fashion industry.

In 2004, he designed several models for the worldwide concert tour of American pop diva Madonna, as well as collaborating on models for the Showgirls concert tour of Australian singer Kylie Minogue.
In the last decade of his life, his greatest and most loyal companion was his Burmese cat Choupette, who is white and has blue eyes. As a result, this cat has made its way into his designs.

Around the middle of 2010, Karl Lagerfeld began to expand into mobile accessories. The company quickly identified a growing trend in mobile accessories and began designing and manufacturing iconic luxury and style accessories for smartphones and tablets, which includes covers and cases for mobile phones and tablets, apple watch straps and laptop sleeves, and other accessories, often adorned with iconic elements such as Lagerfeld’s silhouette, his famous cat Choupette, or other designs that evoke his style. In doing so, the brand has not only expanded its portfolio, but also appealed to a younger and tech-savvy generation.
